Sound/Vision Summary
The following is an evalution of my first short
film. I am new to the wolrd of
filmmaking and was very nervous not to mention that I did freaked out a
bit. The idea of making a short film that I would have to
share piblicy scared me a lot. I also had never directed or edited anything
much less a mini movie. My favorite part of the process I enjoyed very much was
working in group filming and acting. It was very exciting and fun!
I learned so much not only in the practical sense but
also technically with programs like Adobe Premiere Pro, which taught me the funadamentals of editing.
It was incredible to see my idea and work take shape. The one one thing I found
challengeing was the producer aspect of the project. Creatively I can come up
with ideas with no problem, putting the production and paperwork together was
both confusing and difficult for me. Once I start to do more projects , I think
it will become easier, definitly not impossible.
I am very proud of my short film. I really didn’t
think I would of thought myself a short
film director/producer. I do see the good and bad things of both the process
and the final outcome. For example I can see some mistakes and perhaps some
things I could of done much better. But now I know and will most definitley
apply to my next project. I think it’s healthy to be somewhat critial of ones
work it’s how we become better at our craft.
I think this class model and projects will be very
helpful for my career . I believe it is very important to have great
communicative professor that supports you in your process. (Not to mention a
great crew.) Thank you to all of those who helped put “NV” together.
